Éric Pinard has been with Laforge Environnement for almost a decade. He is a Certified Environmental Site Assessor (CESA®) and a Pro Board® certified Hazmat technician specializing in intermodal, railway, and road transportation. He has a master’s degree in applied sciences as well as a bachelor’s degree in environmental geography. Mr. Pinard is a technical expert responsible for providing legal expertise and supervising work following an environmental disaster, including carrying out environmental characterization in line with laws, regulations, and guides. During his career with Laforge Environnement, Mr. Pinard has supervised hundreds of responses following environmental emergencies throughout the province, including major oil spills and other accidents involving chemical or hazardous materials. He also oversees the company’s environmental monitoring program and is recognized by the Court of Québec as an expert witness in environmental litigation. His expertise includes managing and supervising environmental assessment, characterization, and remediation work. Over the past few years, he has acted as a project manager or auditor in more than 900 mandates.
